Cleveland Dental Institute Appointment Policy
Appointment Policy
Our goal is to make sure every patient receives the highest quality care with our dental professionals in a timely manner. An appointment is a promise to appear. Not showing up without calling, last minute cancellations, arriving late directly affects other patients who do arrive on time and want access to dental care in a timely manner. In addition, the CDI clinical and administrative teams who prepare for individualized patient appointments are stressed due to the sudden change of prepared schedules. Our mission is to make sure every patient receives the highest quality of dental care with our team of dental professionals.
Cancellation/No Show Policy for CDI Dental Appointments
In order to be respectful of the dental needs of other patients, please be courteous and call us promptly if you are unable to show up for an appointment. This time will allow our dental team to then focus on other patients who need immediate treatment. If it is necessary to cancel your scheduled appointment, we require a minimum of 48 hours advance notice of your scheduled visit. Appointments are in high demand, and your early cancellation will give another person the possibility to have access to timely dental care. ALL patients are expected to arrive 15 minutes before scheduled appointment. If an appointment is not cancelled without proper notice or arrival time, please refer to the following guidelines.
Late Arrivals
We understand that delays can occasionally happen; however, we must try our best to keep our clinical teams and patients on schedule. If a patient arrives more than 15 minutes past their scheduled time, the patient will be placed on our walk-in schedule the day WITH NO GUARANTEE OF BEING SEEN AND TREATED.
What is a “Late Cancellation”?
We use the term late cancellation when a patient fails to cancel their scheduled appointment within a 48-hour advance notice.
What is a “No-Show”?
The term “no-show” is for patients who confirm an appointment, then decide not to be present for an appointment without notifying the dental office in advance.
A patient with a history of three no-show appointments and or late cancellation will only be scheduled on our designated walk-in columns. Patients with this designation ARE NOT GUARENTEED TO BE SEEN ON THE APPOINTED DATE AND TIME, ONLY IF WE CAN FIT YOU INTO OUR SCHEDULES ON THAT DAY. We will do our best to fill you in our schedule the same day based on the dentist’s availability. Please let us know what the best way would be to help you keep your appointments, so you are never in this situation.
